Adolescence and pre-adolescence are times of growth and opportunity, but our children can so quickly become stuck in self-doubt, social challenge, and anxiety. Seriously elevated levels of anxiety affect more than 15% of children and teens, significantly interfering with their ability to confidently handle everyday life situations, such as school achievement and relationships with peers, teachers, and parents.
Thrive is an educational and counselling program fostering emotional resilience in children and teens which will stay with them for life. For children struggling with the influences of anxiety, depression, divorce, or anger, Thrive counselling offers a toolbox of coping skills. Thrive develops emotional strength in kids and teens.
Additionally, when children struggle with worries, perfectionism, sadness, divorce, emotional regulation, or even learning challenges, parents learn to validate their child’s complex feelings and parent in a way that builds resilience in their children.
Our supportive program is appropriate for common challenges of:
Thrive counselling incorporates mindfulness practices, narrative therapy, cognitive and dialectical behaviour therapy for kids! Our program is geared toward children, youth, and young adults and develops practical skills to cope with life stress by building self-awareness and emotional intelligence. Children with elevated levels of worry will acquire the life skills needed to deal with emotional stress.
Our program includes parent coaching and individual work with children and teens.

Using supportive coaching and cognitive awareness techniques, we find a shift occurs and the confidence already present within emerges and shines.
"Thanks, Ellen!! I can’t express how my heart ‘floweth’ over when I see her doing so well. She is a different kid from this time last year. I’m just so proud that she’s my kid. Thank you for all your help and your love and care for Lauren. I know we couldn’t have gotten this far without you and the support."
