Thrive Self Esteem and Resiliency Counselling for Children and Teens

Three Smiling Tween Girls

Adolescence and pre-adolescence are times of growth and opportunity, but our children can so easily become stuck in self-doubt, social challenge and anxiety. Seriously elevated levels of anxiety are affecting more than 15% of children and teens, significantly interfering with their ability to confidently handle everyday life situations such school achievement and relationships with peers, teachers and parents. Thrive  Counselling is an educational and counselling program fostering emotional resilience in children and teens which will stay with them for life.  For children struggling with the influences of anxiety, depression, divorce or anger Thrive counselling offers a toolbox of coping skills.

Thrive Parent and Family Counselling

Family in Snow

Thrive offers Appreciative Parent Counselling which is a fresh approach to family counselling, equipping families with a capacity for change, renewal and vision.  I believe “What you pay attention to grows!”  Counselling sessions with parents do not focus on “changing” children, or deep problem analysis, but centre the inquiry on what is working and how to move forward.  Thrive Counselling for Parents concentrates on enhancing relationships rather than simply changing behaviours. Together parents build on what is best in family relationships.  As parents learn to manage their own emotions and anxiety, resolutions grow from the heart.  In other words, we create change through self-discovery. This is a fresh appreciative approach to family counselling!
